SUNWAY CAFÉ RESTAURANT: DIM SUM IN THE WEE HOURS

SPONSOR'S LINK: SUNWAY CAFÉ RESTAURANT

It’s 2:30 in the morning. You and a few friends are exhausted from cramming for finals, barhopping, or wasting time on the internet. Everyone is hungry.

Well, why not mosey on over to Sunway Café Restaurant? Situated at 39-07 Prince Street, Sunway stays open until 4:00 a.m. If it’s Friday or Saturday, you have until 4:30 a.m. to begin your bleary-eyed ordering.

Sunway’s décor is reminiscent of your average IKEA® cafeteria. Oak-colored tables and chairs get the job done, and high ceilings give the place an airy feel.

Food here is, simply put, a one-stop-shop idea.* Freshen up with some bubble/boba/tapioca tea, smoothies, or “house specials” like lychee and apple aloe vera (most drink options are $2.95 for a small; $3.85 for a large).

Dim sum-sized favorites include pork shumai/siumai ($2.95), pan-fried turnip cake ($2.95), gyoza ($4.50), fried shrimp wontons ($5.25 for 8 pieces), and congee ($6.25).

Need something even greasier in your early morning mix? Fast food options at Sunway include fried chicken wings ($4.95) or nuggets ($4.25) and French fries ($2.95). Aw, yiss.

May Flushing Food suggest: skipping the walk to McDonald’s on Main Street.
