Flushing Food
loves burritos. We also love
deep-fried dishes.
What’s that? We should try…¿chimichangas? Well, that’s just what we ordered for delivery from Mexican Trail, a fast food joint at College Point:
Chicken chimichanga. |
The above $8.95 chicken chimichanga combined chicken with rice, tomatoes, onions, and
peppers within a soft, cheese-enveloped deep-fried tortilla. The tortilla shell
was a bit wetter than expected, but this is a deep-fried dish, after all.
To stave off imminent guilt,
Flushing Food paired the chimichanga with
a $7.00 guacamole tostada. In contrast, this salad dish
was light and crispy, with (very) mild notes of avocado and lemon.
